GEHRDES

  Mrs. Gertrude Pearl Gehrdes, wife of Charles M. Gehrdes, died at her 
home, 1505 Bell avenue, at 2:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon of 
pneumonia, which followed an attack of Spanish influenza.  She was ill 
six days with influenza when pneumonia developed.  She was born in 
Cambria county, Jan. 18, 1889, the daughter of George L. and Sarah 
(Apple) Wilson.  Besides her husband and two daughters, she is survived 
by her parents and several brothers and sisters, who reside in 
Johnstown.  No funeral arrangements have been made.
