Mr. Levi Gray, who resided on Eleventh avenue, between Eighth and Ninth streets, died just at midnight last night. His complaint was dropsy of the heart. Friends were with him all the time. A few minutes before his death he walked across the room with the aid of two of his attendants, and sat down. While there he just threw himself back and suddenly expired. Deceased was a man advanced in years, and has been for a long time Superintendent of the Altoona City Gas works. He has been ailing for about a year, and during the last three months was confined to the house. He leaves a wife and four children, the latter all married. Mr. Gray was a member of the Philadelphia lodge of Odd Fellows, and of the American Mechanics, and was a faithful attendant and member of the Second Presbyterian church. He was entirely resigned to his fate, and was ready to go when the summons came. A special meeting of the Mountain City Lodge of Odd Fellows, No. 837, will be held this evening at 7 o'clock sharp. The funeral will leave Altoona on Friday, to proceed to Solebury Presbyterian church, in Bucks county, the home of his childhood.
