At half-past 5 o'clock Sunday morning Mrs. Anne Halen died at her home, 1214 Seventeenth avenue, from a complication of diseases. She had been a sufferer for several years past. Her maiden name [was] Sellers and she was born in Newry in the year 1839. After her marriage to William Halen she, with her husband, became a resident of Sinking Valley, living there until three years ago. Her husband and one daughter, Genevieve, preceded her to the grave. These children survive: Mrs. Emma Bailey, of 126 Sixth avenue; Austin, of 1410 Third street, and William, Gerald, Kate, Ella and Belle, at home. Mrs. Halen was a sister of James and John Sellers, of Altoona, and a sister-in-law of James Cullen, of Spruce Creek. She was a consistent member of St. John's Roman Catholic church, to which her body will be taken at 8.15 o'clock to-morrow morning and services held. The cortege will proceed to Sinking Valley cemetery, where the interment will be made. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, August 14, 1899
