Harmon, 230 E. 11th St., died Friday at 10:35 p.m. at Tyrone Hospital after an extended illness. She was born Oct. 2, 1916 at Bellwood the daughter of Charles and Mary Gallagher Evans. She was adopted at the age of 2 by Mr. and Mrs. G. Wilkins Owens of Tyrone. She was married Dec. 29, 1939 at Tyrone to Joseph W. Harmon Jr. Surviving are the husband, her foster father; a son, Joseph W. III; and daughters, Mary E. and Linda F., all at home; the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Hamilton, Bellwood; Mrs. Shirley Lucas, Tyrone; Mrs. Joan Waite, Tyrone RD; Mrs. Zella Walters, Tyrone; Roy C. Evans, Bellwood. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Tyrone. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. Robert M. Vowler. Burial will be in the Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
