Dean Miles Harpster  

  Dean Miles Harpster, 68, formerly of Tyrone and recently of Milpipis, 
Calif., died Dec. 27.  He was buried in the Darling Fisher Garden 
Chapel, San Jose, Calif., on Dec. 30. 
  He was born April 10, 1909, in Tyrone, the son of Moore and Jesse 
Harpster.  On April l, 1933, he married Lorena Briner Harpster in 
Tyrone.  He was preceded in death by his wife.
  He is survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and the 
following sons and daughters: Sarah Clary, Gilroy, Calif.; Jesse 
Shaeffer, Lancaster; and Dean Miles Jr., and William, both of San Jose, 
Calif.  
  He was the last of his immediate family.
