Hess, 58, of 538 5th Street, Tyrone, died Sunday, April 4, 1993, at 7:45 p.m. at the Hershey Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born July 15, 1934, in Port Matilda, a daughter of John and Evelyn (Burge) Orwick. On September 13, 1957, at Mount Pleasant Church, Taylor Township, she married Robert I. Hess, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Lynn (Linda) Behrer, Johnson City, Tennessee; Mrs. William (Kay) Light, Tyrone; and a daughter-in- law, Jackie Hess, Tyrone, R.D. 4, eight grandchildren and three brothers: Eugene C. Orwick, Tyrone R.D. 3; Alfred R. Orwick, Garland, Texas and Robb Orwick, of Florida. She was preceded in death by a son, Robbi Dion, and a sister, Carmen Delbaggio. She attended Warriors Mark United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Association, Tyrone; the Anderson-Denny VFW Women's Auxiliary; and the Tyrone Borough Board of Health. She was also a volunteer for the Special Olympics and one of the organizers of the 1992 Tyrone Labor Day Picnic. With her husband, she owned and operated Dee's Lounge, Vail, from 1970 to 1978. She also worked as the kitchen manager at the Bull Pen Restaurant for several years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 1993, at 10 a.m. at the Feller Memorial Home with the Reverend Stephen E. Gallaher officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
