HITE Of 215 1/2 Lexington avenue, died at Mercy hospital at 1.50 o'clock yesterday afternoon after an extended illness. He was born in Puzzletown, Juniata county, Dec. 23, 1890, a son of Samuel and Alice (Wilt) Hite. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertie (Grove) Hite; one daughter, Madeline; one granddaughter, Jean Bressler; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Grove of Hollidaysburg and Mrs. Mary Wysong of Altoona, and two brothers, Lloyd Hite of Greenwood and Lewis Hite of Bellwood. Mr. Hite attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance church. He retired as a brakeman in 1949 from the Pennsylvania railroad and was a member of the B. of R.T.
