HITE Of Fern Street, Greenwood, died at 10.28 o'clock last night in the Altoona Hospital where he had been a patient since last November 30. He was born August 5, 1881, a son of Samuel and Elizabeth Alice (Wilt) Hite, and retired several years ago as a painter for the Pennsylvania Railroad at East Altoona. His wife, Mrs. Minnie (Wysong) Hite died in 1947. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Charles M. and Alberta B., both of Greenwood; two grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Blanch Grove of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Mary Wysong of East End and Lewis of Bellwood. Mr. Hite was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Friends will be received at the Mauk and Yates Funeral Home after 7 o'clock tomorrow evening. Altoona Mirror, April 24, 1952
