FLORENCE E. HOLMES
 
Mrs. Florence Edna Holmes,  of Hollywood, Florida, formerly of Tyrone, 
died Saturday at the home of Mrs. Jane Francis, a daughter, in 
Hollywood, after an extended illness.  She was born October 3, 1894 at 
Elizabeth Furnace, the daughter of Robert S. and Margaret (Burkholder) 
Hildabrand.   She was married to William Holmes.  Surviving are the 
following sons and daughters:  Mrs. Eleanor Redmond, Detroit; Mrs. Jane 
Francis, Hollywood, Florida; Mrs. Margaret Anderson, Duluth, Minnesota; 
also, five grandchildren and eight grand children; the following 
brothers and sisters: Clair E. Hildabrand, Bellwood; Mrs. Dora 
Stonebraker, Dale Hildabrand, Mrs. Margaret Briggs and Mrs. Thelma 
Eckert, all of Tyrone and Robert of State College.  She was a member of 
the Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Church.  Funeral service will be held on 
Wednesday at 2 p.m., at the Johnson Funeral Home in charge of Rev. J. 
Byron Bishop. Burial will be in Charlotteville Cemetery.  Friends will 
be received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
