Frank and Dessa Wagner Hoover, died at her home on West Third street at 2:30 Tuesday morning, after an illness of 7 weeks of acute nephritis, most of the time being confined to her bed. After the appearance of the malady it developed rapidly, and the most heroic methods known to medical skill failed to check or effect a remedy. Born April 4, 1902, at North Wood suburb of Tyrone, the youngest member of a family of eight, all who survive as follows: Vincent B., Mrs. Luther Stacey, Mrs. Raymond Sorrick, Williamsburg; Mrs. J. M. Frank of Hollidaysburg; John W., of Tyrone; Grace and Catherine, at home; Sergeant Walter M., who is with army of occupation in Germany. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and of the Sabbath school and service will be conducted by her pastor, Dr. C. T. Dunning Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the church. Altoona Tribune, Wednesday Morning, March 12, 1919 Funeral of Mildred Hoover. The funeral of Miss Mildred Hoover, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Hoover, who died Tuesday morning at her home of West Third street, occurred at the Methodist Episcopal church Thursday afternoon. The services, conducted by her pastor, Dr. Charles T. Dunning, were largely attended by relatives and friends. She was a sophomore at the Williamsburg High school and the members and instructors attended in a body.
