ICKES Mrs. Ickes, 86, of Hillview Convalescent Center died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 1984, in the center, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Ickes retired as a cafeteria worker from the Pennsylvania Railroad. She was born Jan. 31, 1898, in East Freedom, the daughter of Joseph and Rebecca (Dively) Flaugh, and Oct. 13, 1919, married Harry W. Ickes, who died in 1948. Surviving are two grandchildren: Carol Lauder and Ralph Ickes of Altoona; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ickes was a member of First Lutheran Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata. ICKES - Services for Minnie Ickes of Hillview Convalescent Center will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, by the Rev. Glenn Stahl.
