LEVAN - CORRESPONDENCE - Altoona, August 30th, 1872.  Mr. John Levan, 
of Pittsburg, father of John P. Levan, of this city, general foreman of 
the Altoona car shops died at the above place on Tuesday last.  His 
remains were brought to this place for interment.
