Marshall Died at his home, 717 Eighth avenue, at 10:10 o'clock last night, of paralysis of the brain. For the past three or four years Mr. Marshall had been in declining health. Last Wednesday evening he was taken sick but it was not thought to be a serious illness at the time. About 3 o'clock yesterday morning he received a stroke from which he never recovered and died at the time named. The deceased was born in New Bloomfield, Perry county, February 27, 1836, and came to this city twenty-four years ago and was employed since at his trade, that of a carpenter and joiner. He served during the war in company F, 104th infantry and was honorably discharged at the close of the war. He was a member of Mackinaw lodge No. 380, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of New Bloomfield, and also of the local Carpenter's union. He was a man who was deservedly popular with all who knew him, and was a good citizen and an upright man. He is survived by his wife and five children, fours sons and one daughter - H. R., of Allegheny City; William I., J. W., Roy and Mrs. Belle Howard, all of this city. The funeral services will be held at the residence, 717 Eighth avenue, at 2:30 o'clock, Monday afternoon, and interment in Fairview cemetery.
