McCartney of Wehnwood, died at the family home this morning after a lingering illness of complications. Deceased was a daughter of Henry and Anne Stover, both deceased, and was born at Elizabeth Furnace, Pa., March 7, 1855. She was married to Mr. McCartney on Nov. 4, 1878, and had she lived would have celebrated her golden wedding anniversary. Surviving are the husband, four children: William Dougal McCartney of Wehnwood, Mrs. C. E. Mathes of Altoona, Miss Belle and George, both at home; one brother Elmer Stover of Pittsburgh, who is seriously ill at the present time; three sisters, Mrs. C. W. Sickles of Altoona, Mrs. Filmore McCartney of Wehnwood and Mrs. W. L. Miller of Greenwood; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a devout member of the First United Presbyterian church in this city. Funeral services will be conducted at the family home in Wehnwood Thursday afternoon in charge of Rev. Gorman. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery. Friends are asked to please omit flowers.
