McDowell Dies Following Brief Illness Warren F. McDowell of 818 Rosehill Drive, retired gang foreman of the Juniata E. and M. shop, died at 7:10 a.m. today in Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Altoona Dec. 16, 1879, a son of Barr and Sarah (Runyeon) McDowell, and was married to Dessa Robeson Aug. 14, 1902, in the First United Brethren Church. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1962. Mr. McDowell was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Junior Order United American Mechanics. He retired from the P.R.R. in 1939 after 41 years of service. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. William Stroup of Corning, N.Y. and Mrs. W. Paul Buchanan of Altoona; three grandchildren, five great- grandchildren.... Additional Comments: The rest of the obituary is cut off on the photocopy I have.
