He was born May 7, 1889, at Port Matilda, a son of William and Susan (Sharer) Moore, and on April 23, 1910, at Tyrone married Amber Woomer. His wife died Sept. 27, 1961. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Chronister of Tyrone; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha McMonagle of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Robert Miller of Bald Eagle; a number of grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A son and a daughter preceded him in death. Mr. Moore was a member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He was a conductor for the P.R.R., retiring in 1936 after 23 years' service. Friends will be received at the Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone, after 7 p.m. tomorrow. Her maiden name was Lewis, and she was the daughter of John and Emma (Woomer) Lewis.
