MORRISON 68, of 401 Barley St., Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly at 4:01 p.m. Friday, May 16, 1980, He retired as foreman of the blacktop crew from: New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company, Roaring Spring plant, in Dec. 1977, after 47 years' service. He was born Dec. 18, 1912, at Dry Gap, Roaring Spring RD, a son of Patrick and Irene (Kephart) Morrison, and May 1, 1937, in Altoona, married Mary L. Murray. Surviving are his wife, eight children, James R. of Virginia Beach, Va.; Ronald L. of Knob Noster, Mo.; Mts. Joan I. Claar of Salem, Ohio; Paul A. of Bald Eagle, Gerald. P. of South Weymouth, Mass.; Mrs. Bernadette M. Guyer of Warsa, Ohio; Mrs. Rosemary J. McGuire of Altoona and Helen A. of Pittsburgh; 20 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Miller of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Thelma McGonahy of Duncansville. Mr. Morrison was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Roaring Spring, and Red Men Lodge of Everett. He was an associate member of the Duncansville Veterans of Foreign Wars and Williamsburg America Legion. He graduated from Roaring Spring High School in 1931. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. MORRISON - The funeral of Luke A. Morrison of 401 Barley St., Roaring Spring, will be held with a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Roaring Spring, by the Father Norman Imgrund.
