MYERS Of 613 8th Ave., Juniata, died at 8.50 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 25, 1971, in Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted Jan. 12, after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 1886, in Fannetsburg, the son of William and Jennie (Price) Myers, and was twice married, first to Edna Reffner, who died Oct. 28, 1936, and then to Ruth Ray Hatch. Surviving are his wife, two children, Paul W. of Berwyn and Mrs. Hazel Jean Irvin of North Bellmore, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother, Elmer of Tyrone. Mr. Myers retired in 1952 as an engineman for the PRR Middle Division after 40 years of service. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and Men's Bible Class and Retired Groups 4 and 6. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the Juniata Memorial American Legion Post. Friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. tomorrow and after 10 a.m. Thursday.
