Shortly after 12 o'clock yesterday afternoon Mr. James Nally died at his home, 716 Eighth avenue, from heart failure. Deceased was born in the year 1831, in County Longford, Ireland. He came to America in 1854, and one year later settled in Altoona, and has resided here ever since. From March, 1860, he was employed by the Pennsylvania railroad company, working for them until about one year ago, when ill health made it necessary for him to relinquish his position. In 1865 Mr. Nally wedded Annie Rice, who, with the following children, survives: Thomas J., James F., William, John, George, Robert, Mollie, Rosie and Ella, all of Altoona. Two sisters, Misses Kate and Rose, and one brother, Thomas, also survive. Deceased was a faithful member of St. Mark's Catholic church. He also belonged to the Pennsylvania Railroad Relief. The funeral will take place on Monday morning at 9 o'clock. Services will be held at St. Mark's church, and at their conclusion the interment will be made in St. John's cemetery.
