Mrs. Harriet Rebecca Patterson died at her home on Second street, Williamsburg, Wednesday morning at 7.30 o'clock following a six week's illness from infirmities due to advanced age. The deceased was the daughter of David W. and Mary Hicks Vinacke and was born in Williamsburg, Feb. 19, 1840, and with the exception of seven years a resident of Homestead, spent her entire life in her native town and was one of the oldest native residents. She was married April 21, 1859, in Williamsburg to the late James Patterson who preceded her to the grave many years ago. Besides a step sister, Mrs. Ann Gurrt of Pittsburgh, she is survived by the following children: Mrs. W. C. Copley, Altoona; Mrs. E. G. Peterson, Homestead and Frank H. Patterson, Munhall. The deceased became a member of the Presbyterian church in early life and lived the life of a Christian lady. She was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and enjoyed the esteem and respect of all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. Funeral services will be conducted at the house this afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Dr. J. E. Irvine, pastor of the Presbyterian church, interment in the Presbyterian cemetery, Williamsburg.
