PHILLIPS Died yesterday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at his home at Northwood, Tyrone, following an illness of eighteen months. He was a son of Benjamin F. and Laura (Walker) Phillips and was born in Tyrone on March 12, 1855 [1885]. Mr. Phillips was united in marriage with Lydia B. Maurer on Sept. 20, 1905. Prior to his illness, he was employed at the Tyrone paper mill. He was a member of the Methodist church, the Jr. O.U.A.M., the Moose and the Citizens' Fire company, all in Tyrone. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife and four children, William L., Reuben B. and Irvin D. Phillips and Mrs. Chester Edmiston, all of Tyrone. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, September 17, 1938
