GIOVANI NICHOLA PICANO

Of Hillside avenue and Fifty-eighth street, died at his home at 1:45 o'clock 
this morning of a complication of diseases.  He was born in Ponticari-Italy, on 
July 26, 1863, and had been employed for a number of years as a laborer by the 
city, retiring twelve years ago.  His wife, Mrs. Mary Iorio Picano, died twenty-
six years ago.  Surviving are three children, John, Antonio and Mrs. Theresa 
Turchetta, and thirteen grandchildren.  He was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic 
church where the funeral will be held Thursday morning with requiem mass at 9 
o'clock.  Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery.  The body may be viewed at 
the home.
