Shirley died at his home, 2009 Ninth avenue, at 3:45 o'clock yesterday morning of a complication of diseases. He was born at Martinsburg and was aged 47 years. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company and was well known as a cornetist. He was a member of the Lutheran church. He was twice married and is survived by his second wife and one son, Fred Shirley. He is also survived by a brother, William, of Huntingdon. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
