Shoenfelt, Wife of Andrew Shoenfelt, died at the residence of her husband, 54 Fourth avenue, at 4:15 o'clock this morning, of cancer. The deceased was born April 24, 1829, at Salem, near Elizabeth Furnace. She was married to Andrew Shoenfelt, April 13, 1857, and is the mother of six children: five sons, Geo. of Fostoria, Samuel and Charles of this city, William in California, and Lloyd, in the west, and one daughter - Mrs. Clara Smith, of this place. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran church and was a consistent Christian, bearing the pain caused by the dread disease from which she died during four years without complaint and with exemplary patience and resignation. Owing to the absence of Mr. Shoenfelt, the funeral arrangements have not yet been completed and will be announced later. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Evening, March 16, 1893
