  Mrs. Elizabeth Short, wife of Thomas Short, died at her residence on 
Seventeenth street, between Twelfth and Thirteenth avenues, yesterday 
afternoon.  Her disease was consumption.  The lady was past 49 years of age.

DIED.

SHORT - In this city, November 12, Elizabeth, wife of Peter [sic] Short, 
aged 46 years, 5 months and 1 day.
  Funeral from her late residence, Seventeenth street, between Twelfth and 
Thirteenth avenues, this afternoon at 3 o'clock.  Interment in St. John's 
Catholic cemetery.  Friends of the family invited.
