HELEN C. SWARTZ

  Mrs. Swartz, 89, of RD 1 died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 1989, 
at Altoona Hospital.
  She was born Jan. 15, 1900, in State college, the daughter of Harry 
and Lettitia (Koch) Cramer, and March 30, 1934, in Maryland, married 
Clarence L. Swartz, who died in 1973.
  Surviving are four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
  A son, Theodore E. Brobeck, died in 1945, in action during the Battle 
of Bulge.
  Also surviving are a sister and brother: Nancy Witts and Lynn of 
State College.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the 
Stevens Mortuary.

SWARTZ - Services for Helen C. Swartz of RD 1 will be held at 10 a.m. 
Saturday at Memorial Chapel of Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 8th Ave., by 
the Rev. Douglas R. McGaffin. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, 
Bellwood. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at 
the mortuary.
