Thompson, at his home in Thomastown, near Tyrone, Pa. yesterday morning at 7:30 a.m. of pneumonia. He was born September 28, 1857, the son of James and Sarah (Cornelius) Thompson. For the past 17 years he had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company as a watchman. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Albert(Minnie) Weierick, Mrs. Lowery (Clara) Rhoades of Tyrone; Mrs. Joseph (Lilly) Daughenbaugh at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter (Fannie Gates), and his son, John. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Tyrone Church of The Brethren with Reverend Ulrich officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Tyrone, Pa. Additional Comments: Died January 3, 1919 Joshuway, his wife Catherine, and their daughter, Fannie, and a niece all died within 8 days of each other with complications from influenza.
