All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ VADACCHINO Gennaro Vadacchino, aged 23, of 510 Eighth avenue, a selective inducted into the federal service by the East Side No. 2 city draft board, died in Camp Lee on Oct. 12, according to a telegram received by the board today, the commanding officer writing as to the disposition of the body. Death was due to pneumonia. The remains will be sent to Altoona at the request of a cousin, Frank Garritono of 510 Eighth avenue and burial will be made in this city. The body will be accompanied to Altoona by a military escort. Vadacchino was inducted last April and trained at Petersburg. He was born in Italy on March 27, 1895, and was employed as a track hand by the Pennsy. He has a wife and parents in Italy. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Friday Morning, October 18, 1918
