VAUGHN Mrs. Elsie Pearl Vaughn, Thomastown, died Friday at 9:50 a.m. at Tyrone Hospital after an extended illness. She was born Oct. 21, 1894, at Birmingham, Huntingdon County, a daughter of Mayberry and Elizabeth Johnson Shock. On May 21, 1920, at Hollidaysburg she was married to William N. Vaughn. Surviving are the husband and the following sons and daughters: Dale, Tyrone; Mrs. Lucy L. Knepp, Spruce Creek; Mrs. Theda Wilson, Lancaster; Clyde D., Port Matilda RD 1; Mrs. Elsie J. Weaver, Lancaster; Mrs. Beryl L. Young, of Frederick, Md.; Mrs. Grace A. Haines, Spruce Creek; Glenn M. Vaughn, at home; also 33 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Grace Dawson, Taylor, Mich.; a son, a brother and two sisters preceded her in death. She attended the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Tyrone. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. Edgar C. Moore, of Warriors Mark. Burial will be in Charlottsville Cemetery.
