WEIR Well known Duncansville retired farmer, died this morning at 5 o'clock at his home, 1139 Third avenue, that borough, following a lengthy illness. He was a son of Levi and Lavenia (Itinger) Weir, and was born at Spruce Creek on April 7, 1869. He was united in marriage with Miss Jennie E. Black on Oct 24, 1895, in Huntingdon, by Rev. Frank Baker. She survives with these children: Mrs. Rachel Webb of Lewistown, Clair Weir and Mrs. Mae Young, both of Martinsburg, Blair Weir of Duncansville, John Weir of Altoona and Mary Weir and Mrs. Lavenia Snyder, both at home. One son, Frank, is deceased. Also surviving are one brother, William Weir of Geistown, one sister, Mrs. Annie Fleck of Altoona, and twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Weir was a member of the Duncansville Lutheran church and followed farming in East Loop for thirty years, retiring and moving to Hollidaysburg, from where he moved to Duncansville nine years ago. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. WEIR - Funeral services for Frank M. Weir will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the Duncansville Lutheran church in charge of Rev. G. B. Harman. Interment in the Geeseytown Lutheran cemetery.
