Calvin Winter, a conductor in the Pennsy yards, died at his home on Beech street, South Lakemont, at 2.40 o'clock yesterday afternoon of pneumonia, following influenza. He was born at Curry, Blair county, March 14, 1882, the son of George and Catherine Winter (deceased). Besides his wife, who was Miss Minnie M. Kifer, he is survived by four children: Katharyn, Genevieve, Dorothy and Bertha, all at home, and these brothers and sisters: George and Henry, both of South Lakemont; Mrs. Elizabeth Romberger, Altoona; Mrs. William Dutrow, South Lakemont; Mrs. John Boyer, Dunbar and Mrs. Wilson Barnett, Llyswen. He was a member of the Church of God of South Lakemont and of the B.R.T. No. 174 and Yard Floral association. The remains will be taken to Curry Sunday noon and services will be held at the Cross Roads church there at 2 o'clock, with burial in the church cemetery.
