This morning at 10:30 o'clock, a quiet but pleasant wedding took place at the parsonage of the First Lutheran church. The high contracting parties were Miss Dessa M. Wertz, of 1321 Eighteenth avenue, this city, and Mr. John M. Bream, youngest brother of Mrs. Rev. E. D. Weigle. The solemn words which united two hearts were spoken by the pastor of the bride and the brother-in-law of the groom, Rev. E. D. Weigle. The attendants were H. B. Barr and Miss Vara Wertz, sister of the bride, both of Hollidaysburg. After the wedding dinner at the parsonage, the happy couple took day express for Biglerville, Adams county, Pa., where a reception will be given them this evening at the family residence. Mr. Bream has taken the homestead and will engage in farming. The lady who has accepted his hand in marriage is well and favorably known in Altoona, and leaves behind her a host of warm friends. She will be missed especially by the people of the First Lutheran church, with whom she was a most devoted member and a faithful worker. Of course the pastor and brother-in-law, who is penning these lines, joins the many friends of the happy couple in the hope that life may accord them the minimum of sorrow and the maximum of joy.
