Mr. Howard Clayton Burk of East Freedom and Miss Ruth E. Carnill Ferer of Duncansville were united in marriage at 7.45 o'clock Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Renner on Market street, Duncansville. The Rev. Isaac Cadman, pastor of the Hicks Memorial church, Duncansville, officiated, using the beautiful ring ceremony of the Methodist church. They were attended by Mr. Roland Burk of Roaring Spring and Miss Aletta Renner of Duncansville. The bride was attired in white chiffon georgette and wore a bridal veil and carried a bridal bouquet of white carnations. The bride's maid wore pink georgette and satin and carried a pink arm bouquet. They entered the parlor where the ceremony was performed to the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march, played by Miss Mabel Renner and Lesley Burk. After the ceremony, a sumptuous wedding dinner was served. Only the immediate relatives and friends of the bride and bridegroom were present. They were the recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts. Mr. Burk is well known in his home town and holds a lucrative position with the P.R.R. His bride is one of Duncansville's most popular young ladies. After a short wedding trip they will be at home to their friends in their newly furnished home at McKee. They have the best wishes of their many friends for a happy married life. Altoona Mirror, Friday, January 21, 1921
