A Pretty Home Wedding That Took Place Last Evening. There was a pretty home wedding last evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Bartley, 1216 Seventh avenue. It was the occasion of the marriage of their daughter Miss Elizabeth J. Bartley to Mr. Jesse M. Fay, who has charge of one of the departments in the store of William F. Gable & Co. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. Ellis Bell, pastor of the Eighth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church, assisted by Rev. J. W. Bain, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, at 8 o'clock. The front parlor of the pleasant home was suitably decorated for the occasion. The bride wore a light organdie costume trimmed in lace and ribbons. She carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Hattie Bartley, sister of the bride, was dressed in white organdie over blue. The groomsman was Mr. Maxwell K. Fay, bnrother of the groom. Lohengrin's wedding march was played by Miss Mabel Hall, of Lancaster. Immediately after the ceremony the seventy-five guests present sat down to a sumptuous wedding dinner served by Mal. Stewart. Both of the young people are well known in the city. Miss Bartley has been a successful teacher in the public schools and she is eminently fitted to preside over a home. Mr. Fay is a successful and energetic young man. The newly married couple will be at home to their friends after September 1, at 1312 Fifth avenue, where a completely furnished home of their own awaits them. Mr. and Mrs. Fay received many handsome and useful presents. A room set apart for the gifts was filled with these testimonials of esteem from relatives and friends.
