Friday, 15 May 1908 Volume 42, Number 20 Death of Alvin Byrne Alvin A. Byrne, son of Sylvester and Margaret Byrne, died at the home of his parents in Barr Township Monday, May 11, 1908. The deceased was born in Barr Township April 26, 1879, and spent most of his life on the farm with his father. His death was caused by nervous dyspepsia. His parents and the following brothers and sisters survive him: Wilfred, of Pine Township, Indiana County; Edwin of Elder Township and Eugene, at home; Angeline, wife of Frank Hopple of Spangler and Cordelia, wife of Edward Krug of Ebensburg. The funeral took place on Wednesday with a high mass of requiem in the St. Nicholas church, Nicktown, interment being made in St. Benedict's Cemetery, Carrolltown.
