THOMAS LILLY HAS PASSED AWAY Former Cambrian Dies in New Jersey; Burial in Gallitzin Mrs. Sarah (Crawford) Cruse-Lilly, 67, wife of Thomas Lilly and a former resident of Cambria County, died Tuesday afternoon at her home in New Brunswick, N.J. She had been in poor health for the past four years. The Lilly family resided in St. Michael until a year ago. Mr. Lilly was seriously injured at the St. Michael Shaft about four years ago when a cage dropped at the operation, resulting in the death of two men and the injury of several others. He had since been unable to work. Mrs. Lilly was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Crawford and was born near Gallitzin. She was twice married. Her first husband, John Cruse, passed away 45 years ago. Surviving are her second husband and these children: Anna, wife of Charles Faust, New Brunswick; Edward Cruse, St. Michael; George Cruse, Good's Corner, and Alex Cruse, Altoona, all born to the first union; Gertrude, wife of James Reed, New Brunswick, and Edith, wife of Aaron Hartshorne, St. Michael. Nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. The remains were removed this afternoon to the Edward Lilly home in Gallitzin by H. F. Conrad & Bro., Gallitzin morticians. Funeral services probably will be conducted Friday morning in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Gallitzin, by Rev. Father Joseph Farran. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
