A few years ago he was Secretary of the Cambria County Medical Society. He had been a careful student, and could converse intelligently and interestingly not only on medical matters but on many other subjects. He was courteous and pleasing in his intercourse with the people and had the faculty of making friends. His wife, the eldest daughter of Hon. Daniel McLaughlin, and several children survive.
