He was a native of Austria and came to America in 1888. Mr. Yacos had been retired for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church. Surviving are his widow and seven children: John Yacos Jr., local civilian defense chairman; Michael Yacos, an employee at the Portage postoffice; Mrs. John Danko and Julia, also of Portage; George and Peter Yacos both of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. John Gadzick, Weadon, Pa. Twelve grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Monday morning in St. Michael's Russian Orthodox church by Rev. Elias Yankovsky. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Serenko Funeral Home.
