His mother has returned to her teaching duties in Coatesville, after having been ill for the past week. “Bill”, as he is better known, is a graduate of the Downingtown High School and is well known in the community. Private William P. LEAR, who was received into the U.S. Army Service at New Cumberland, two weeks ago, is now stationed at Camp Sibert, Gadsden, Ala. His correct address is: Private William P. Lear, 33,331,878, Company E, 2nd Battalion, CWS, E.T.R.C., Camp Sibert, Gadsden, Ala. Cadet Gerrell JAMES, formerly of West Chester, has been transferred from Lockborn, Ohio, to Furman University, Greenville, S.C., where he will complete his gliders training course. His address is: Gliders Training, A.A.F.T.O., McGee Hall, Furman University, Greenville, S.C. Charles Vernon DUNNE, who was graduated from the Diesel School at Richmond, Va., last week, with the rank of Motor Machinist Mate, 2nd class, is taking supplementary training at the Diesel School in Norfolk, Va. He says that he would like very much to hear from all his friends, who may address him at: Diesel School, N.T.S., N.O.B., Norfolk, Va. Corporal Joseph E. DULIN, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Dulin, of Chatwood, is home on a ten-day furlough from Camp Summerset, Westover, Md., where he is stationed. Chaplin John H.K. MILLER, who recently resigned his position as pastor of the Calvary Lutheran Church, here, is now receiving training at Harvard University preparatory to entering active Army service. Mrs. Miller is temporarily staying with at relative on Long Island. Members of the church congregation gave Chaplin Miller a farewell party last Thursday night, and he preached his final sermon Sunday, leaving here Sunday night to take up his new work.
