Mr. Jackson, aged 54, was born in West Chester, a son of Georganna R and the late William A. Jackson. He was a veteran of World War No. 1. For many years he had been engaged in the antique business and buying of furs and enjoyed the acquaintance and esteem of many merchants in West Chester and the surrounding towns, as well as Wilmington, Delaware, where his integrity as a produce distributor was appreciated. In his youth he sang in the choir of the Church of the Holy Trinity. He is survived by his wife, Esther M. (nee Gray), and seven children: three sons, Robert D., Jr., Dempsey William and Brinton Merkel, and four daughters, Dorothy Ida, Nancy Jane, Bertha Esther, at home, and Mrs. Elizabeth Christopher, of Willistown. There are two grandchildren. A sister, Hazel R., wife of William J. Stalker, and mother, Georganna R. Jackson, also survive. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the Hicks Funeral Home, 229 S.
