DEATH NOTICES
McMahon- Of Coatesville, Pa., on Saturday, August 8, 1970, Frances M. McMahon, 
husband of the late Blanche Tubbs McMahon, aged 75 years.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the MacLean 
Funeral Home, Fifth Ave. and E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville on Wednesday, 
August 12 at 9 a.m.  Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Church at 
10 a.m. Interment St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home 
on Tuesday evening after 7 o’clock.

Francis M. McMahon, 75, of 17 N. Fourth Ave., Coatesville, died in Phoenixville 
Hospital Saturday.

Husband of the late Blanche Tubbs McMahon, he was born in Buffalo, N.Y., a son 
of the late Michael and Annie McMahon.  

He resided in Coatesville since 1938 and was formerly employed at Philadelphia 
Electric Co. 20 years.  He was retired the past four years.  He served with the 
US Army in World War I.

He is survived by a daughter, Marie, wife of William H. Sellers of Coatesville; 
three grand children and two great-grand children.

Mr. McMahon’s Funeral
Funeral services were held for Francis M. McMahon on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from 
MacLean Funeral Home, followed by Requiem mass at St. Cecilia’s church at 10 
a.m. with the Rt Rev Msgr. Henry F. Kiggins as celebrant.  Interment was in St 
Cecilia’s cemetery. Pall bearers were Frank Carter, Paul Phillips, David 
Stringer, Thomas McGee, Patrick and Francis Sellers.  Friends called at the 
funeral home on Tuesday night.
