He had lived at 303 W Union St, West Chester for many years. Born in West Goshen Township Mr Wetherill was a son of the late William Cooper and Emily J Wetherill. He was the husband of the late Mary Mosteller Wetherill. Following her death he made his home on Union St with a sister-in-law, Miss Iva Mosteller. A sports enthusiast, Mr Wetherill was a member of the old Sharpless baseball team in West Chester and continued his interest in baseball until his death. He was also a member of the old Pioneer Club of West Chester. He was a long-time member of the West Chester Methodist Church. Mr Wetherill was a past president of Green Mount Cemetery board, West Chester. Survivors include two sisters, Miss Mabel J Wetherill and Edna W, wife of P Henry Bake; a half brother Carl Parker and a half sister Mrs. Adelia Parker Williams all of West Chester. Wetherill – On Sunday, March 4 1962, William J, husband of the late Mary Mosteller Wetherill in his78th year. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral from the Harold A Famous Funeral Home, 101 S Church Street, West Chester Pa, on Wednesday, March 7 at 2 p m. Interment Greenmount Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening.
