  John R. Silvis November died 24, 1962 
  
  John R. Silvis, a resident of South Bethlehem, died Saturday, November 24,
  in the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning.
  
  Mr. Silvis, a son of Amos and Elnora Frazier Silvis, was born October 17,
  1892, at Fairmount City.  He was married to Viola Irwin, now deceased.
  
  The survivors include, a son, Reed Silvis, of Union City; three
  grandchildren, one sister and three brothers; Mrs. Margaret Schrecengost, of
  R4, New Bethlehem; Frank Silvis, Distant; Charles Silvis, R4, New Bethlehem,
  and Clinton Silvis, Apollo.
  
  Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at 10 o¹clock at the Robert F.
  Mateer Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Hetrick officiating.  Burial was made
  in the Eddyville Cemetery.
