DuBois (PA) TRI-COUNTY, May 5, 2007

Oleta Irene Fye, 80, a guest at the DuBois Nursing Home, died Friday at the 
nursing home.

Born Aug. 28, 1926 in DuBois, she was a daughter of the late William and Susie 
Calhoun Groves

She had been a care nurse at both Christ the King Manor and the Jefferson 
Manor for many years.

She was a past secretary of the Falls Creek Eagles who enjoyed bowling. She 
was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and enjoyed spending time with her 
family.

She is survived by two sons, James E. Fye of Endicott, N.Y. and Bernard Fye of 
Brockway; two daughters, Carol A. Grant of Deland, Fla., and Deborah L. 
Shimmel of Luthersburg; one brother, Bernard Groves of Falls Creek; eight 
grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Dale Groves.

FYE: Oleta Irene Fye, a guest at the DuBois Nursing Home, died May 4, 2007. 
Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Goble-Baronick 
Funeral Home in DuBois. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the 
funeral home with the Rev. Charles M. Lee Jr. officiating. Burial will be in 
Beechwoods Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the DuBois Nursing 
Home, 200 S. Eight St., DuBois.
