Another of the few remaining links that unite the present with the past was severed by the passing from Time of Hiram M. Hoyt at his home near Sabula. The deceased had passed three score and ten years, and had been a sufferer from incurable disease for some years. He was the son of Dr. Wm. Hoyt who came a pioneer from Mass., at an early day, and a brother of Wm. H. Hoyt who died recently. The departed had lived all his life in Huston Township and by industry, integrity and economy acquired a comfortable competence, and enjoyed the large respect of the people. His wife was Barbara Brown, who with the children, Isaac, Chas., Edward, Elizabeth, (Mrs. Bundy) and Ellen (Mrs. Dodd) survive him. The funeral was at the Hickory Methodist Church Rev. R.E. Crum preaching the sermon. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/clearfield/obits/hoyt16075gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
