Mrs. E. C. Reed    

Mrs. E. C. Reed, who has been ill for more than a year, passed peacefully
away at her home on West Second street at 7 o'clock Friday morning, aged 43 
years.  Mrs. Reed, who had endeared herself to a wide circle of friends, was
a fine Christian woman, always thinking of her dear ones first.  She has been a 
member of the Methodist Church since childhood.  She is survived by her husband 
and three daughters: Frances, Bertha and Grace, all at home. Also by the 
following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Samuel Walburn, David Witherow and Mrs. 
Mattie Lopeman.  Miss Witherow, the Red Cross Nurse, is a niece of Mrs. Reed 
and helped care for her during her last illness.  Funeral services will be held 
from the home Monday afternoon at 2.00 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. 
Horace L. Jacobs. Interment in Hillcrest cemetery.
