Administration of James Acor 8 June 1848 Columbia Co., PA Bond No 23 James Acor, late of Bloom dec'd Be it Remembered that on the (eighth day of June AD 1848) Letters of Administration in due and Common form of Law were granted by Charles Conner Register for the Probate of Wills & Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of Columbia and State of Pennsylvania unto (Jesse Shannon) of Bloomsburg, Administrator of all and Singular the Goods and chattels rights and credits which were of James Acor late of Bloom township in said County dec'd the widow having renounced as follows to wit, "To Charles Conner Register of wills and Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of Columbia, whereas my late husband James Acor died intestate whereby the right of Administration of the estate of the said deceased did devolve upon me Mary Acor the widow and relict of the said deceased, Now Know Ye that for divers good causes and considerations we therunto moving? I have released and hereby do release all my right and title to the administration of the Said Esate, Witness my hand and Seal the (8th day of June AD 1848) Mary Acor, her mark. He the said Jesse Shannon having put in as his Sureties John R. Moyer and William Neal in the Sum of Five hundred Dollars and having been first Sworn to admin'r said estate well and truly and according to Law and to regard the laws relative to Collateral Inheritances faithfully.
