THE MEDIA METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, WEST STATE STREET, MEDIA, DELAWARE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
 
 
                                               16 September 1853
                                          Delaware County Republican
 
                        TO CONTRACTORS AND BUILDERS. - Sealed proposals
        will be received at the Post Office, in the Borough of Media, on Monday,
        the 26th inst., until three o'clock P.M. for the erection of a brick church
        edifice, in said Borough. Plans and specification can be seen at the above
        named place, on and after Monday next, the 19th inst., D. T. HAWKINS,
        C. R. WILLIAMSON, JABEZ LAWTON, Building Committee. 
 
 
Note:
    The Charter for The Media Methodist Episcopal Church, of Media, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, was granted 
    by the Court on November 24, 1851.
    The original Charter was amended on February 13, 1896, changing the title of the 
    Church from The Media Methodist Episcopal Church to the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Media..
