                         MARY THOMPSON - Dies at 83

            MEDIA - Mrs. MARY ELLEN THOMPSON, 83, died
        yesterday at her home, 12 W. 2nd st., here, following a
        long illness. Mrs. THOMPSON had been bedridden for
        14 years suffering from a broken hip.
            Mrs. THOMPSON, who was born in Trout, W.Va., is
        survived by her husband, C. HARVEY; a son, W. BLAKE
        of Washington, D. C., a daughter, Mrs. A. L. WARD of
        Annapolis, Va., and three step-children, EDWARD,
        Spring City, Pa.; Mrs. ROBERT PEGLER, West Chester,
        and Mrs. WILLIAM GREGORY, Media.
            Also surviving are three grandchildren and five great-
        grandchildren.
            Services will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Nelson
        Rigby funeral home, Baltimore av. and Jackson st. here,
        with burial in Media Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow
        evening at the funeral home.
 
 
 
Note: Mary Ellen Thompson was the second wife of Charles Harvey Thompson
