Eicher Dies At Crossland From Pneumonia Abraham Davis Eicher, 82 years old, former well known resident of Indian Creek Valley, a retired farmer, died at 5 o'clock this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Carrie McBeth at Crossland, after a brief illness of pneumonia. he had been confined just four days. Mr. Eicher was born June 16, 1848 at Indian Head. He spent most of his life in the valley, operating a farm at Normalville. In 1910 he moved to Virginia, where he continued his occupation as a farmer. Last year he returned to this place and made his home with Mrs. McBeth at Crossland. He was the last of a family of eight children. In 1872 he married Louise Jane Prinkey, whose death occurred three years ago in Virginia. The following children survive: Mrs. David Grimm of Normalville, Mrs. Carrie McBeth of Crossland, Mrs. Charles Means of Connellsville, L. H. Eicher of Bealton, Va., A. D. Eicher of Calverton, Va., and Mrs. John May of Bealton, Va. In addition there are 35 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. The body was taken to the J. E. Sims funeral home and prepared for burial. Funeral service will be held there at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. E. A. Schultz, pastor of the United Brethren Church officiating. The body will be shipped to Warenton, Va., where interment will be at 10 o'clock Friday morning.
